The Guantánamo province is located at the far east of the island of Cuba. A good part of the province has been occupied by a US Naval base since the early 1900′s.

It is most likely the least touristic province of all Cuba—certainly because it contains the famous Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp.

Guantanamo is the most mountainous province and Guantanamo Bay is also the largest natural harbor on the south side of Cuba.

Despite the fact that a portion of the province is occupied by the United-States, it can still be a great place to visit and go on vacation.

There are some hotels and resorts you can stay at.
