Santiago De Cuba, both a town and a province, is located south-east of the island of Cuba. It is where you will find the most important and largest fishing port of the country.
Santiago is the second largest city of Cuba and it’s also the capital city of the province of Santiago de Cuba.
It is located some 850km south-east of Havana, the capital of Cuba.
Industries are varied in this province, there is also a University. Before 1976, Santiago De Cuba was part of the province of Oriente, which consisted of 5 of the actual provinces.
